So today I had an eventful morning... I took a bath when I finally got Sam back to sleep., and just before getting out, I noticed the toilet water slowing draining out of the bowl. It made some gurgling noises and most of the water was pretty much gone. So ofcourse, my curiousity got the better of me, and I flushed it! OOPS! The bowl not only filled up with water, but filled up so full it started leaking over the top of the seat! Water starting spilling over the top and literally pouring all over the bathroom floor! I didn't know what to do first! I decided I better grab a towel (for me not the floor) and ran for my phone. It didn't help much, 'cause I didn't know who to call! I ran back to the bathroom where water was still pouring everywhere! "Turn the water off" was my next great thought, followed by "how the heck do you turn the water off!" I pulled the lid off the back and looked in, water was still draining, "what do I do!!??"
I grabbed the phone again and started looking through my contacts. I was trying to find the apartment manager's number to get the maintanence man over here, but then realized I was only wearing a towel! So, I hung up and ran back to the bathroom. I piled a couple towels by the door, so none of the water would leak out into our bedroom, and decided i better put some clothes on! I only got about half dressed on my way back to the bathroom where I was still dumbfounded on what to do! Then "THANK GOODNESS", the water finally stopped pouring out on its own!
I was so relieved I couldn't help but laugh! It was quite the scene, let me tell ya! But, it's all cleaned up now! The bathroom is dry, the maintanence man is called, and the toilet... well, it's still temporalily unavailable! Oh, and some nice person on facebook enlightened me where the faucet is to turn the water off next time it happens!! :)
